As you may know, I, Anna, have a dog named Jet. Well we went camping with him and he is normally not a swimming type (Like most whippets). We went camping with a group of Russian friends and right next to the camp there was a river. Now, this river was pretty much the temperature of a glacier even though it was a sunny 86 degrees day, but since we're Russian (Lots of snow, heh) we all jumped in at one point or another. After my dad swam to a little island in the middle of the river, I followed. Jet immediatly started whining and instead of actually jumping to it, he swam across the icy cold river to get to us. Coincidently, we realized it was his birthday (July 5th) and thought he was celebrating. Jet also realized he had to swim to get back to the camp and got scared. My dad saved the day, though, and carried him stiff as a board across the river. Finally Jet chillaxed on his blanket in the sun to dry off. Happy Birthday Jet!

Happy Canada Day! If you're American (like me) than you probably don't know what its celebrating. Its basicly a Canadian Fourth of July. Well I'm not going to talk about Canada today, I'm talking about randomly going to the mall. Also, you probably won't be hearing from Dana because she is at a sleepover currently (yes, I'm jelly).
Just a couple hours ago, I came back from a mall. I hate shopping like a lot of my friends, I'm just not a girly type. At first people think I am because of my atrotiously long nails, but then they quickly realize that they're weapons not girly nails with sparkly pink nail polish. We went because I complained I don't have any shorts and suddenly its a heat wave in Oregon. My sister tagged along and was being quite a pleasant sister. We only went to Macy's and I got some American flag designed clothes and some other shorts and stuff, but I'm not going to dwell on that. Lastly, we went to the Cheescake Factory, which is a restauant if you don't know. I got a weird sandwhich burger and my sister got fish and chips. We bought a red velvet cheesecake but its currently sitting uneaten in the fridge. Oh and by the way I am going camping Friday to Monday (I'm not sure if its Sunday or Monday) and will not post because, duh, no WiFi. Once again, Happy Canada Day! And if you're really bored like I am currently, check out this. Or this. -----Anna Today is the last day of June. This is what some of my (Dana) week will look like. I think. Well one half of it. Thats all we really know, we can't predict the future so thats how its gonna be! -----Dana and Anna Occasionally, Dana and I will write a full-fledged "article" of what we did that day, well, this is one of those occasions. Lets, begin with my breakfast, because, why not? I ate a couple fruits and a peanut butter cake pop I had made a day earlier then, went back to my lair (or bedroom, meh) and started drawing a kitty. Just as I was about to start the details I heard my families car and rushed to get ready and in the car. I also saw my dog, Jet, jumping in. You see, every year during the berry-picking season my family goes to pick cherries in Hood River because they're my dads favorite, no joke. My sister accidently left a egg in her pocket and we had to buy food for us and my sisters chickens. After sitting in the car getting bored I placed my jacket on my head and slept my way to the cherry farm. When we arrived everything seemed bright so I slid on my sun glasses. This year we went to an organic cherry farm, which annoyingly was 2 1/2 times more expensive than usual (It was $4 per pound and $5 for my sisters favorite, its usually $1-2 per pound) so instead of getting enough cherries for me to swim in we got three measly buckets, which was fine. My sister and I started climbing up trees to get the juiciest cherries and while picking I noticed a huge amount of what I thought was wet sap. Here's a tip: When picking cherries, don't leave the stem, it's just weight that you pay for but don't eat and then you can stuff more cherries in the buckets. After we filled up the buckets we had a lunch of garlic naan bread, salmon and cheese. Well that was after we paid for the cherries. When we finished, I asked my dad to pick off the sap because it was as hard as a rock and looked like an amber crystal. We drove back home while my sister read books and I took several pictures on my moms phone. I finished drawing my cat and impressed my family. Have a nice afternoon/evening! Signing off, Anna You recently heard quite a lot about Dana's little sister and her annoying habits, and it is quite understandable a four year old would do such things (even though she should be out of her terrible two's and three's). Well now I'm gonna talk about my sister. My sister is pretty much five years older than me and she is sixteen currently. She has her flaws like everyone else but she can be immensly annoying to me. Okay flaw one, she always bursts out singing and even though its good it always urks me like I just don't like when she starts singing. Another thing thats annoying but understandable is that she always blames me for being smart as if it is a bad thing I am and it is true that sometimes our parents praise me more than they do her. Finally, the last thing that personally annoys me is when she tries to make a point and she'll just be like, Nope nope NOPE! Then, she'll ignore me by singing or humming and acts as though she doesn't really hear me or anyone. Sometimes she'll just start talking about a friend. It's true sisters can be annoying to everyone around them but, you should still love them even if it seems impossible :) ---Anna So Dana and I, Anna, went on a trip to Cannon Beach yesterday (Saturday), because there was a sand castle competition, but that is not what we are going to talk about today (although they were amazing). We are talking about a sand turtle, Dana's fussy sister and a restaurant. First off, when we were done blankly staring and saying wow at sand sculptures we settled down to eat and build a sand turtle, all the while Dana's sister tried to vanquish our project. I was about to finish covering Dana's legs and make her a bee-utiful mermaid, but she shifted and I got immensely angry. Then we left to the café which turned out to be a restaurant and it was supposed to be seat yourselves but we told the wrong person (apparently) and the guy serving people outside got pretty irritated. But while we were waiting to be seated Dana noticed some Foxgloves and started talking about how poisonous and fatal it was (if eaten) but basically you just get really horrible hives and rashes if touched. If you eat the leaves you can die and also some effects will not be as bad if you aren't allergic. Well that's appetizing to hear about right before eating! Our waiter, Dana noticed, had a nose that was shaped like haystack rock on its side. Of course Dana notices that. We ordered a DELICIOUS sandwich that we would literally go back in time to eat again or just regurgitate up (more appetizing thoughts). For dessert Dana and I split a lemon sorbet that Dana's little sister ordered too. Okay, so this is where everything fell apart. Dana and I started arguing that a 4 year old kid with cavities because of sugar should not get the ENTIRE sorbet while we get half and we are about three times her size and age. That makes sense, right? Well, Dana's mom just smiled and said, whatever makes her happy! *Sigh* We left to go walk on the beach and found our turtle was stepped on. At that point Dana declared that she would punch whoever did it in the nose. As we hastily repaired it, we signed our names. Everything was once again peaceful as Dana and I planned a Hunger Games prank. Well, I say peaceful but what I mean is mildly annoying because Dana's sister would either cry to be picked up because we ran ahead or would act as though we were slow even though we were walking with our parents. Finally we just went back to our houses and fell asleep. Signed, Anna and Dana (except entirely typed by Anna) |
