I am extremely sorry for my dumb procrastinating nature, and yes it is Anna! Ahahahaha... Me so delirious! But anyways I did promise a post about weird cold remedies and here it is! And yes I have done 100% ALL of these. 4/4 yeah super impressive! I will give my opinion as well as how to do them if you are on the sick side. |
1) Wet/Cold Sock Remedy!
The first step is to give yourself a nice cozy-warm foot bath (optional: with Lush products ;) ) and wait until the water is lukewarm. Then stick some socks freshly dipped in cold water unto your feet. Then take a thin pair of socks and put them on over. You can now take a nap! This is really weird and it feels good, I am just not sure how it's supposed to work like have my feet been controlling my head and immune system this entire time? Wow!
2) Salt Bag/Hot Egg Remedy!

2) Salt Bag/Hot Egg Remedy!
For this one you can either hard-boil an egg or heat up a small fabric bag with slat in the microwave. Honestly they produce the same results but one does leave you with a tasty snack! You basically place it on the bridge of your nose, being careful not to burn yourself. Then you wait until it cools down then voila! A mucus-free nose! Very refreshing. I love this one and it really does help. I can feel the magic working and it leaves me feeling happy every time!
3) Steaming your nostrils! (Helps with mucus build-up)
This is now a common thing to do you can even buy electronic steamers! But for those old-fashioned folk ,like me, I will explain how its "traditionally" done! First you heat up a pot of boiling/simmering water. Drop in some essential oils, like lavender or mint, then place a towel over your head and the pot and breathe in! Deep breathes. Turning on some peaceful music helps too. This helps you calm down, clear out the nasal passageways, and relieve you of any headaches! This is a great treatment which my mom does a lot more than I do!
4) Bottles Suctioned to your Back!
This is one my Russian family members have done for a while! You take glass bottles, the chubbier the better, then put flames in them, like a matchstick, take the fire away and let the magic of physics suction the bottles to your back. Repeat for your entire back with help from someone and TA-DA! You are now a glass hedgehog! This helps regulate your blood flow for less migraines and quicker healing! Although it does leave purple "suction" circles on your back for a while, but it's all worth it, right?
Thank you guys for reading and I'll catch you later hopefully not procrastinating! Byeeeee!
